Undying Flower
I have been fortunate enough to have the resource and support to create a new project. With these flowers, I can teach how to make them and give these flowers to those who have supported me.
Project Goal
The goal of this project was to create a meaningful project and then scale it to a level where it can be taught in an hour.
First Project
The first flower is made of aluminum. It was hand sheared and threaded onto an aluminum rod. Each metal and leaf was bent by hand into shape and then threaded into the wooden base.
Scaled Project
The first method to increase the production of the flower to have enough for students is a waterjet cut template. The templates were created on Fusion and then processed and cut on the protoMAX made of brass.
I taught 4 different labs with a total of 30 students left with a one of a kind rose.
